Donald Ross Morphet passed away peacefully June 12, 2019 in Vernon, BC. Don was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario to John and Lilian Morphet, the youngest of 3 children.
Don and Eileen were married in October, 1959 and moved to Kitimat in 1962 where he worked at Alcan and then Eurocan until they moved to Vernon in 1993.
He was a member of the Kitimat RCMP Auxilary, the Masons, the Gizeh Shrine Club and the Gizeh Shrine Clowns. In Vernon, he remained active in his organizations and loved being Santa for the Village Green mall.
Don was predeceased by his siblings Russel, Albert (Isabel), Glenn, Lyle, Joyce (Harry Hooper), Marvel (Jack Briggs) and brother in law George Temple.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Eileen, children Cheryl (Bill Leite), Valerie (Ray Magnusson), Douglas (Kristi-Ann Watrin), his grandchildren Jason (Noel), Derek (Krista), Davin (Heather), Ryan, Kara and Curtis, as well as 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Knox Presbyterian Church 3701 32nd Ave. Vernon BC at 2 pm with a tea to follow. All family friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend.
