Donald William Wutzke

April 15, 1941 – August 9, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather Don at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on August 9, 2016.

Don was born in Lethbridge, Alberta to William and Esther Wutzke. He resided in Vernon for the majority of his life.

Don leaves behind his wife Carol, sons Glenn and Todd Wutzke, daughter Tanis (John) Farina and beloved grandchildren Danielle Farina (Tim) and Alexander Farina, brother Wayne Wutzke (Joan), and sister Lynda Johnston (Dennis). He will be sorely missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, close friends and coffee buddies.

Don was predeceased by his parents William and Esther Wutzke and mother-in-law Mary Schwartz.

Don was a heavy duty mechanic holding an interprovincial licence. His working career included Bloom & Sigalet, Bus Yards Manager at School District 22 and the majority of his years as a self employed, professional truck driver.

He loved the freedom of the road and was known for his expression “I am back on the road again”.

This continues to be his journey.

A celebration of life will be held at Sparkling Hills Resort on Sunday, August 21st at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
