Donna Mae Westman

1935 – 2014

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend on April 27, 2014, at 11:00 pm.

Donna was born in Llyodminster, Sask, on July 6, 1935. She spent most of her life in British Columbia and lived in Armstrong for most of her senior years.

Predeceased by her son Robert Alexander Matheson, she leaves behind two sons and two daughters: Rick Matheson, Ron Westman, Priscilla Weninger, and Donna Sands

She will also be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Donna will always be remembered for her total devotion to family. She was always able to see the good in each family member and she loved them unconditionally. She loved to bake special treats for each of us on special occasions and she enjoyed family reunions when we could all be together

She had a strong faith and looked forward to seeing her son, Bobby, again in her beautiful Heavenly home.

We wish to say a very special thanks to all the wonderful caring staff and volunteers at Hospice House in Vernon where Donna was allowed to be peacefully ushered into the presence of the Lord with the least pain and discomfort possible.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send a donation, in any amount, to The Okanagan Hospice Society (3506 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4). A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at First Baptist Church (3185 Becker Street, Armstrong). Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at
