Dora Ingstrom

Dora Ingstrom was born on June 19th, 1921 in Florida as Marcelles Katherine Croteau but came to be known as “Dora”. She passed away on September 16th, 2008 at Heron Grove in Vernon, B.C. Dora was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Washburn; her son, Charles Washburn; and her second husband, George Ingstrom.

Dora leaves her children, Anne (Carl) Nordh and Hazel (Mike) Turchinetz of Vernon, B.C., Marian (Robert) Morrow and David (Gayle) Washburn of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Leaving to miss her dearly are her grandchildren, Melissa (Dean) Sutherland of Vernon, B.C., Elke (Mike) Herbus of Lavington, B.C., Jeremy (Donna) Nordh of Vernon, B.C., Marie (Zak) Houk of Calgary, Alberta, Cindy (Adam) Belleperche of Salmo, B.C., Sean Washburn and Mitchell Washburn of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and Michael Textor of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ksenia, Maia, T’jara and Tristan.

For over sixty years, Dora looked forward to the fulfillment of the Bible’s promises of life on earth under a righteous rule by Christ. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she talked about her faith to all she met. Dora appreciated the care and attention she received at Heron Grove over the past eighteen months.

Cremation preceded a Memorial Service which will be held at the East Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1424 Misson Road, Vernon, B.C. on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at 3:00 P.M.
