Doreen Teresa Brown

April 4, 1926 - July 1, 2019
Doreen was born on April 4th, 1926 in Seattle, Washington to Tom and Minnie Williamson and passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2019 in Vernon, B.C. after a gradual decline in health. She married Christopher Dale Brown in June of 1950, who preceded her death in 1995.
Together Chris and Doreen had a life of adventures. It included 5 children and time spent in the Vancouver area, the Shuswap and Vernon, B.C. When Chris passed, Doreen moved to Vernon, B.C. to be closer to her children and grandchildren and where she remained for the rest of her life. She was always surrounded by love and laughter, many friends and family, travel and new experiences.
Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her five children; Teresa Muir, Patricia (John) Maderyc, Jack (Linda) Brown, Shelley (Wilf) Liefke and Christopher (Zorayma) Brown, her grandchildren; Ryan, Geneva, Mackenzie, Janna, Chelsea, Brandon, Patrick, Courtney, Hailey, and Mason, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 siblings; Ellard, Rita, and Frank, and by her son-in-law, Bill Muir.
Please join us in Celebrating Doreen's Life on Saturday afternoon July 20th, 2019 between 2 pm - 4 pm at the Schubert Centre, 3505 30th Avenue, Vernon, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Doreen to the Schubert Centre.
