It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doris-Kay Sutherland who suffered for months from the ravages of cancer.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Doug Sutherland of 67 years, her two sons Tom and Scott, her niece and nephew Alana Knourek and Robert Graves, her 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Doris-Kay was the daughter of Marie and Albert Graves, who were early  pioneers of Vernon BC, Canada.

Doris-Kay and Doug moved to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1951 and spent 17 years of sunshine and pineapple before moving back to Vancouver in 1968.

Doris-Kay had become a very accomplished hula dancer and ukulele player.

Doris-Kay was an avid and passionate skier and spent the next 32 years bombing around her favourite runs in her backyard of Whistler, Canada.

Doris-Kay loved to garden, grow roses and adopt homeless cats. At the time of her passing she had 5 very well nourished loving cats.

Doris-Kay is sadly missed by her husband Doug and entire family.
