Dorothy Lynn Niehaus

It is with sadness but peace that we announce the passing of Lynn Niehaus on February 7, 2010, at Vernon.

Lynn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of eight years (and high school sweetheart) Gordon; her children Kristen and Jamie; grandchildren Kingsley and Conall; extended family Darryl (Rhonda), Dean and Drew and many dear friends from the nursing and Peruvian Paso worlds

Lynn was born in Saskatoon and moved to Nelson as a young girl. After she graduated from High School she went to Nursing School at Vancouver General Hospital. She nursed for over 40 years everywhere from Hollywood, CA to High Prairie, AB, but ultimately ended up in Armstrong- discovered when she went there to buy her first Peruvian Paso Horse. Lynn was smitten at first glance with the Valley and spent many, many happy years here playing with horses, running a feed store, working at the Armstrong Hospital and later the Pleasant Valley Health Centre before retiring in 2007.

Donations in Lynn’s memory may be made to North Okanagan Hospice Society.
