Dorothy Maki passed away peacefully in the Vernon Hospice House on Monday, May 24th, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy is survived by nine children, Wills (Pat) Maki of Vancouver, Diane (Earl) Gronvold of Vernon, Mavis (Jack) Mawle of Grand Forks, BC, Sheila (Ron) Bloomfield of Drayton Valley, AB, Mathew Maki of Sechelt, BC, David (Roberta) Maki of Enderby, BC, Anita Maki of Sechelt, BC, Elaine (Dale) Michaud of Hope, BC and Lisa (Greg) Maki-Gibson of Vernon, forty-six grandchildren & great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband William E. Maki in 1996 and thirteen brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28th, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Father Martin Peyton Celebrant. Cremation. A reception will follow at the Eagles Hall 5101 – 25th Ave., Vernon, BC.
