Born October 14, 1930 in Medicine Hat, AB, but spent her younger years growing up in Creston, BC and Vernon, BC.
She left this world peacefully with Doni at her side on July 19, 2016 at the Hospice House; what wonderful people to be surrounded by. A special thanks to “Chad” who helped make moms passing a little easier.
Dorothy is predeceased by her daughter Shelly-Ann Ross and her husband Len Carrigan. They both hold a special place in her heart. Dorothy leaves behind a small but loving family. Her daughter Doni (Tony) O’Brien and their children Leanna (Derek) Anderson and Maureen (Chris) Williamson; son Randy (Wendi) Roth and their children Tamara and Jennifer; the children of her late daughter Shelly-Ann Ross, Jammie Ross and Christopher Ross; son-in-law Allan Ross; great grandchildren: Corey, Mason, and Grayson; and many extended family members.
Although she battled poor health, she remained positive with her blue eyes twinkling. She enjoyed a small circle of friends who visited often. Thanks Myrna-Lea for all your wonderful treats. She also looked forward to her weekly outings to the “Mug & Muffin”. Thank you Al and Barbra for all the breakfasts and hugs you gave mom. We would also like to thank Leslie and Donna at McCulluch Court for all the years of love.
God saw you were getting tired
When a cure was not to be
So He wrapped His arms around you
And whispered “come home with me”
