Dorothy-Ruth passed away at her residence in Mabel Lake, BC on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 64 years of age.
Dorothy-Ruth was born at Kelowna, BC on February 5, 1945. She started visiting Mabel Lake when the family bought recreation property there in 1958 and has resided there full time for the past 20 years.
Dorothy-Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gil; son, Peter (Heather) Borlase of Regina and their children Fraser-John and Hunter; daughter, Deborah-Lee Coombes of Mabel Lake and her children, Megahn-Rose and Brandon; three brothers, Howard, Dan and Tom Borlase; two sisters, Aileen Windows, Barbara Wilson along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Spenser Borlase, son to Peter and Heather, who passed away in Sept. 2009.
A celebration of Dorothy-Ruth’s life will be held at the Kingfisher Community Hall on Sunday, January 24th at 2:00 p.m., with Lorraine Powel officiating.
