It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas John Venhuizen announce his passing after a brief heart illness, on May 1, 2018, at the age of 61.
Doug will be remembered by Rene, and his three children, Dustin, Courtney Douma (Gregg), and Jesse (Sydney).
Doug ("Grandpa with the drums") will also be remembered by his four grandchildren, his mother Marie Venhuizen, his two sisters, Linda Doualetas (Jim), Sharon VanderMey (John). He had a soft heart, loved his family, friends and was always up for playing a good jam.
Doug was predeceased by his father John Venhuizen. There will be a celebration of life service held at Vernon Canadian Reformed Church on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 evening from 6-8 pm.
