It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Douglas Patton. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he passed peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side.

Doug was born on October 10, 1936 in London Ontario, to Helen and Arthur Patton.

Doug will be missed by his best friend and wife of 57 years Kathryn, sons Scott (Kelly), David (Michele), and daughter Kelly Hamilwn. Grandchildren Sean Patton (Brittany), Curtis Patton, Skye and Spencer Hamilton, Ryan and Lucas Patton, David, Matthew, and Micheal McLennan, his sister Joan Arrand, as well as several nieces, and nephews.

Together with Kathryn they followed their eldest son west to the Sunshine Coast, enjoying many years aboard his boat the Tia Chi II, spending time fishing with the boys and golfing at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club.

In 2007 Doug and Kathryn retired once again moving to Vernon where they enjoyed living in Desert Cove and golfing at Spallumcheen Golf and CC making many good friends.
