O’RIELLY , Dugg Nichols made his transition in the home that he built on Saturday, August 23, 2008 after a 2 year dance with cancer. He leaves his wife Tammie and son Sol , daughters Calandir Keith and Sara Gardner, mother Jessie Nichols and brother Bill Nichols and sisters Penny Greenslade and Shannon Nichols. He was predeceased by his father Art Nichols and brother Dave Nichols.
Born February 25, 1951 in Kimberly, B.C., Dugg grew up in Vernon and after graduating from the Kootenay School of Art, founded his own design studio Beyond Graphics in Vernon, moving it to Kelowna in 1987. He was a brilliant creative being who always thought outside the box. His passion was his home in Okanagan Centre, 3D design and old English cars!
The family would like to thank the incredible care and compassion of the palliative response team especially Kathryn Plancke and Dr. Mike Banwell as well as his many loving friends in the community and world.
A celebration of Dugg’s life and creative spirit will be held on Sunday, August 31 at 3 pm at Creekside Theatre in Lake Country. Donations in memory of Dugg may be made to the Community Hall Association of Okanagan Centre, 11099 Maddock Ave. Okanagan Centre, V4V 2J4.
