The world lost a bright light when Dylan Fraughton died unexpectedly on August 23, 2016. The cause of death is still to be determined. Dylan was born in Vernon and attended Bearisto, Harwood and Seaton. He will be remembered as a kind, compassionate and thoughtful friend with a great sense of humour and known for his dance moves and zest for life. Dylan loved to play tennis, year round and often would shovel the tennis court in the winter so he could play. He was a loving son who will be dearly missed by his mother, Cheryl Fraughton. He is survived by his Uncle Ian, Aunt Shawna, and cousin Galena, and numerous friends and colleagues. One of his most important expressions was “Can’t we all just get along.”

Donations in Dylan’s memory can be made to Kidsports to promote future tennis players. http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/british-columbia/greater-vernon/

Thank you very much for the kindness and support I have received since the loss of my sweet pickle - Dylan Fraughton. — Cheryl Fraughton

I am

I am small and have black hair,

I wonder how planes fly in the air

I hear the leaves fall

I see my future

I want a dog

I am small and have a black hair.

I pretend I can fly

I feel happy

I touch my bird

I worry about wars

I cry when my fish dies

I am small and have black hair

I understand that I have to go to school

I say there should be no wars

I dream I could build a robot

I try to recycle

I hope everyone recycles

— Dylan Fraughton, Grade 3
