Earl Douglas Graham

Earl left us for his heavenly home on October 22nd, 2009 at the age of 88 years. He was born in Lashburn, SK on September 21st, 1921, the oldest of seven children born to Doug and Zella Graham. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Malcolm, Betty, Elmo and Gordon.

Earl is survived by his loving wife Gertie, to whom he was married for 61 years; his children, Barb (Larry) Gustafson of Maple Ridge, B.C., Brenda (Ray) Schultz of Standard, AB and Doug (Marlene) Graham of Marsden, SK; his grandchildren, Darla (Bryan) Williams, Karolyn (Matt) Lock, Deah (Mark) Clark, Joy (Dan) Rayton, Jay (Sarah) Schultz, Laura (Craig) Nelson and DJ Graham; his great-grandchildren, Josh, Nathan, Daniel, Serena, Marchella, Danika and Luke; as well as numerous extended family members.

Earl spent most of his life in the Marsden, SK area. He took over the family farm until he retired in 1985 and moved to the Okanagan Lake near Vernon – a place he loved. He was an active member in his home church in SK, being the Secretary-Treasurer for 40 years. He was a passionate supporter of Missions.

Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Earl’s Life which was held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with a Reception following in the Bethel Tea Room. Another service will be held in Neilburg, SK at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Earl to the Manitou Lake Bible Camp, P.O. Free from earth’s sorrows, its cares and strife.

Glorious deliverance; release from the fray;
