It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Earl Raymond Southam of Vernon, BC at the age of 69 years. Earl was a long time resident of the Edmonton area where he owned and operated Southam Equipment Ltd. In 1993 Earl and his wife Pat moved to Vernon and resided at Parker’s Cove where they enjoyed their retirement years. Earl was a member of The Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club in Vernon, BC, and spent much of the winters in Desert Hot Springs CA, with his wife and many friends. Earl is survived by his loving wife Pat of Vernon, two sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey (Andrea) Southam of Vernon, Darren Southam of Edmonton, Alberta, two grandchildren, Makenna & Carly Southam of Vernon, two nieces and two nephews. Earl was predeceased by his parents Roy & Dorothy Southam, two brothers, Keith & Ewart Southam. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all friends and extended family. A Celebration of Earl’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13th, 2004 in the Chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. Cremation. In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Earl may do so to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation, 202-3402-27th Ave., Vernon, BC.
