Edgar Dave Wiens passed peacefully on December 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 20, 1932 in Winkler, Manitoba to Isaac & Helen Wiens, the youngest of 6 children. He moved to British Columbia in 1952 and worked driving car carriers bringing cars back to the coast from back east. On December 26, 1960 he married his wife Ridia Krueger. After settling down he worked as letter carrier in White Rock, British Columbia and was a fixture in the community. They had 2 children; Laurie and Brian.
He is survived by his loving wife Ridia, children Laurie Wiens and Brian (Corrie) Wiens and grandchildren Melanie (Jordan) Lovsin and Kurtis Lange, brother Manno (Helen), sister-in- law Esther (Floyd), cousins and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A funeral was held on Monday, December 10th at Peace Lutheran Church. Donations in memory to a charity of your choice or to Peace Lutheran Memorial Fund requested.
