Ed was born on August 9th, 1928 in Consort, Alberta and passed away on May 5th, 2019 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 90 years.
Ed came to Vernon with his parents, Bill and Lydia Wiest and his sister Irene in 1938. The family established a farm in Lavington that same year which has been Ed's home base his entire life. Ed was always interested in new adventures and technology. He was best known in the North Okanagan for his skill in installing all types of glass and overhead doors. He worked for many companies before opening his own business, "Coldstream Glass."
Ed is survived by his nephew, Ed (Janet) Witt; great-nephew, Mike (Kyra) Witt; great- niece, Cara (Mike) Umbrite; great-greats, Jace and Paisley; and a large extended family throughout B.C. and Alberta.
A Graveside Service was held for Ed at the family plot in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
