She is predeceased by her loving husband John Douglas Marks, her sisters Ruth and Jeanne, brothers Doran and Len, and parents Leonard and Adella Dobson.  Carol (“Nana” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren) was born in Wiarton, ON on April 15, 1929 and died peacefully on April 17, 2016 at the Lake Country Lodge. She was married to John on July 1, 1946 at the age of 17 and enjoyed travelling overseas to Europe and the Middle East with him on his hydro-electric projects. They lived in many small towns in Ontario before moving to BC in 1967. She loved the ocean and mountains and resided in White Rock and Revelstoke before settling in Winfield in 1971. She enjoyed camping, picnics, hiking, cross country skiing, and reading. Music and painting were her passions. She grew beautiful gardens and liked to knit and crochet. She was dedicated to her family and home, they were her pride and joy. She led a full life and we will all miss her dearly. Many thanks to all the friends and care-givers who helped us make her final days happy ones.
