It is with great
sadness that we
announce the passing of Edith A (Nancy) Fanning on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Nancy was predeceased by husband Paul on Nov. 16, 2004 and by her two older sisters, Eve Brogan, Osoyoos, and Kay Emery, Vernon. Survived by her younger brother, Herb Revans of Pheonix, AZ, by
all her loving children, Diane (Roy) Leakey of Comox, B.C., Greg
(Arleigh) Fanning of Vernon, and
Deb (Don) Fleming of Kamloops,
B.C. and by her grandchildren, Christine, Greg, of Vancouver Island, Bradley, of Vernon, Jenny, James, of Kamloops and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Those closest to her will dearly miss and always remember her energetic, playful and loving manner.
Nancy Revans, born Feb. 23, 1922 came to us in her preschool years from Burroughbridge, Yorkshire, England. The family arrived in Yahk, B.C. where Nancy developed her love of outdoor sports. A competitive downhill skier, avid softball player, and skater, tempered with her love of dancing, took her to Cranbrook, B.C. Having met Paul, her childhood sweetheart, in Yahk, the relationship blossomed into marriage in 1943, which developed into all of the
wonderful memories that we all
cherish today. In honor of our parents’ request, no public service is planned. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home.
