Edna Kathryn Dyley (Schueler)
(May 20, 1943 – March 9, 2009)
Edna passed away suddenly, but peacefully in Maple Ridge. BC.
Edna was born in Arbor Field, Saskatchewan and at an early age moved with her parents and three sisters to Lumby, BC, where she spent her youth. As a young woman Edna met Walter Dyley from Armstrong, BC, and wedding bells rang on Sept, 14th , 1966 in Couer d’alene, Idaho. They resided in Merritt, BC, where Edna gave birth to their daughter Sandra Lynn. They returned to Armstrong where they made their home for many years until most recently moving to Maple Ridge, BC, to be with their daughter Sandra Craig (Clint), and grandchildren Josh and Mallory. (Not to be forgotten are the many pets that knew there was going to be “Food a Plenty” from “Ma Ed” as she was affectionately known).
Edna will be fondly remembered by all those that knew her, especially the children that she welcomed into her home and had a special sensitiveness towards. Rather than finding fault with people, she focused on the positive she saw in them. Although a quiet person, with a soft disposition, she had the wisdom of her life’s experiences and was willing to share when asked.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Chapel, 2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong. Everyone is welcome.
