We sadly announce the passing of Edward "Ed" Snaychuk on Aug 31st, 2022, at the age of 92 years..
Ed was born in rural Alberta, and like many of his generation, grew up on the family farm working alongside his father and mother and his 7 brothers and sisters.
Ed left the family farm and he met Margaret at a local dance in Williams Lake. Shortly afterward Ed and Margaret were married and settled in Vernon in 1956.
Ed found a job with Canada Post and was a letter carrier for 30 years until his retirement in 1987.
During his retirement Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and working in and around the house. He always had a project on the go.
In his later years he was content to spend time with his wife and family.
Edward is survived by his wife of 66 years Margaret, daughter Linda (Peter), son Steven (Lorraine), brother Raymond, grandchildren Adam (Miwako), Greg (Chantelle), Kevin (Jamie), Carrie (Brett) and great-grand daughters Aika and Yumeka.
