Edward Ernest Grunder
November 8, 1919 – December 31, 2013
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Ernest Grunder, 94 years young, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 31. A long time resident of Victoria, B.C., he leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Monica (Lamb), daughters Karen (Larry) Shoemaker, Janette Forest, and Donna Grunder, grandsons Cole Shoemaker, Jesse Forest and Brock and Quinn Van Gylswyk. He was predeceased by his sisters May Byers (Jim) and Alice Chester (Jack), and mother and father Alice (Gillard) and Carl Emile Grunder. Ed’s stories, sense of humour and kind heart will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Ed, Dad, Grandpa. You will be in our hearts always.
We wish to thank Dr. Deetlefs, the ambulance attendants and hospital staffs on floors 2 and 3 East, Vernon Jubilee Hospital, for their wonderful care of Ed.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at 2:00 February 15 at 436 Grafton Road in Victoria.
