It is with great sadness the family of EDWARD PADUCH announce his passing on Monday, March 1st, 2004 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital due to complications of the heart. Ed was born in Poland in 1929, migrated to Canada as a young boy and raised in Paddock, Saskatchewan, where he farmed with his dad. As a young man he worked in the Sudbury Nickel Mine and the Hamilton Foundry, returning one year later for a visit, he met and married a local girl from a nearby farming community Shirley Panas in 1954. Ed and Shirley lived in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan for twenty years where he ran his own contracting business and raised a family of five children, Linda, Caroline (Marty) James, Marie Jo (Rob) and Kenneth. They moved to Vernon, BC on July 1st, 1974 where Dad was employed in the construction of the Revelstoke Dam and then as a warehouse manager with Green Leaf in Vancouver before retiring last year. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Joseph (Antino) Paduch, an infant brother George, two brothers John and Henry, his cherished uncle Andrew Paduch, his beloved son-in-law, Gorden Frank and brother-in-law, Donald Perris. Ed will be missed at The Lincoln Lanes where he enjoyed Bowling and as a card player with his brother-in-law Al Sudol (Sonya), where the four spent many a pleasant evening together. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 5th, 2004 at 2:00 pm from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Father Martin Peyton Celebrant. Cremation will follow. A reception will be held in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
