Edward René Roze des Ordons passed away quickly on Thursday May 5th in Vernon BC, at 75 from sudden onset liver failure of unknown cause. Born in Lavington in 1946, he enjoyed exploring Duteau Creek and building ski trails with his brother Moe. He had a passion for skiing at Silver Star and was an avid ski racer. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Simon Fraser University and then traveled throughout BC paving, where he was well known as 'Blackie' since he often wore the road he paved.
Eddie was deeply connected to the land and the Okanagan and always had a story to share. He was wise, funny, loving, and unapologetic about just being himself. He always stepped up to help. Eddie never lost his sense of adventure, mischievous grin or his ski legs.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family - Suzie (wife), Amanda, Daniella, Jenna (daughters), and Moe (brother). He was predeceased by Bernie and Lou Roze des Ordons (parents).
There will be an outdoor celebration of life at the Timber Ridge Trails Ranch in Lavington on May 31 from 1pm-5pm. Please RSVP to rozememorial@gmail.com. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (natureconservancy.ca) would be appreciated.
