EDWARD RUDOLPH HOLWEG
of Penticton, B.C. passed away June 5, 2004 at the age of 91 at Trinity Care Home. Born in Keoma, Alberta June 1912. He was the son of the late August and Matilda (Froemke) Holweg. “Big Ed” as the called him, was a retired Greyhound Bus Driver. He drove for 31 years and lived in Penticton for 61 years. He was predeceased by wife Jeannie (Ferguson) Holweg Sept. 2001. They were married for 58 years. He is survived by his daughter Loretta (Gary) Smith, granddaughter Bonnie (Jack) Maddison, grandson Randy Smith (Bonnie) and great granddaughter Krista Maddison all of Springhill, Nova Scotia, sister Lorraine (Duff) Phillips Vernon, B.C. and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Jeannie, he was predeceased by brothers Arnold, Leonard Holweg, and sisters Evelyn (Holweg) Vallaster, Mildred (Holweg) Bose and infant great granddaughter Lindsay Jean Maddison. Dad/Grandpa will be sadly missed by his entire family and friends. A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 10th 2004 at Parkview Funeral Home with Reverend Linda Ervin officiating.
