Eileen (Lyn) Saul
Eileen (Lyn) Saul, 92, (nee McNutt) died in Vernon, BC on June 29, 2014. She is survived by her two daughters, Donaleen Saul, and Kathryn Saul-Fowler (Bill), and her
three grandchildren, Scott, Greg, and Kim Walbergs.
Lyn is the widow of RCMP officer, C/Supt (retired) Donovan (Don) Saul (1995), and was predeceased by her son, Stephen (2004), and twin daughters, Joan and Joyce, who died in infancy (1948). Trained as a Registered Nurse who served in the Canadian Army during WWII, Lyn was greatly admired as a strong, steadfast and capable woman in all that she did. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, we will miss her generosity, thoughtfulness, intelligence and humour – and most of all her love, which was unwavering. A traditional Anglican family prayer service was held at the RCMP Chapel in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 14, 2014, and Lyn’s ashes were interred with those of her beloved husband at the RCMP “Depot” Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to BC Children’s hospital, North Okanagan Hospice Society, or a charitable organization of choice.
