ELENORE JEAN COMAZZETTO
February 12, 1946 to September 28, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elle, who lost her battle with lung cancer. Elle is lovingly remembered by her partner and love of her life, Lance Penny, children Carla (Cameron) Fellows, Angelo (Heather) Comazzetto and Jeffrey (Jenn) Comazzetto, and grandchildren Zebediah, Wyatt, Paige, Ryder and April. She was pre-deceased by her parents Charles Bailie and Norma (nee Callison) Bailie.
Elenore was born in Chilliwack and raised in Hope, the youngest girl in a large family of 5 girls and 2 boys. She moved to Kamloops in 1968 where she married and raised her family until moving to Vernon in 1979. Elenore was a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. The family owned and operated the Corner Grocery Store on Okanagan Landing Road and later, A & W restaurants in the Vernon area. She retired in the late 90s and took up retirement life at Predator Ridge.
Elle believed in the value of hard work and her strong work ethic was evident right to the end as she faced each challenge with diligence, enthusiasm, and a smile on her face. She loved her family, her golf and just being with Lance during their summers here, and winters in Mexico.
A celebration of Elle’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Sparkling Hills Resort, Vernon, BC. All are welcome to attend.
