Elizabeth (Betty) Grace Myiot passed peacefully away on May 22, 2017 at the age of 88. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Laurie (Bob) Paxman; her best friend, Lady, who is missing her very much; her grandchildren: Diana (Dion) Verhage, Brent Froh, Tyler Prosser, and Rochelle Nelson; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by son, Brian Nelson; daughter, Linda Prosser; and granddaughter, Tammy Myiot.

Betty was born in Weyburn, SK on September 21, 1928 to Fredrick and Laura Jordan. She was the youngest and was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Betty was a wonderful spirit and had a huge heart that would help anyone in need. Her favorite saying was “horse feathers”. Betty was a very well known cook in Lumby for many years and was famous for her delicious huge cinnamon buns. Betty was fierce and funny. We grew up with a lot of laughter and sunshine, even when times were bad she was peaceful and smiling. Betty loved to tease people with her quick wit and hilarious sense of humor right up to the end.

Diana would like to give a special thank you to “all” the staff at Monashee Mews in Lumby, BC for the exceptional care shown to Grama this last year. You all are more like family. Thank you for caring. Grama loved being your friend and appreciated everything you all did for her.

Thank you.
