Elizabeth 'Jean' Huntley

October 31, 1933 - June 9, 2022
On June 9, 2022, Jean Huntley passed away peacefully in North Vancouver with her family at her side. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Sharon (Scott) and Ian (Cheryl), and her seven grandchildren, Krista, Brianna, Lauren, Reece, Nicole, Kaelen and Amanda.
Jean was born in Nuneaton, England in 1933, and remained in England with her mom, Florence, dad, Campbell, sister, Sheila, and brother, Neville, until she immigrated to Canada in 1962.
Jean worked as an Occupational Therapist until she married in 1965. She settled in Burnaby in 1966 and lovingly raised her children there for 25 years. Jean moved to Vernon in the early '90s to begin the next chapter of her life, where she was an active member of the community until moving to North Vancouver earlier this year to be closer to her family.
Jean was full of life, with unconditional love and smiles for her family and friends. She was an active traveller, committed volunteer, loving friend, mother, sister, aunt, and Nana. She will be missed by so many, but never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at Boal Chapel in North Vancouver at 2pm on July 6th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
