It is with our deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Mary Carey (née Bursey). Mary peacefully joined her late husband, Wilfred, in Heaven on November 29th, 2021.
Mary was born in Victoria Cove, Newfoundland on September 20th, 1940. Mary lived around bodies of water for most of her life and loved the peace that calm water brings. In the summer she would walk to the beach, go swimming and float; watching her float was magical. She enjoyed knitting and found beauty in flowers. Mary will be dearly missed by her family, friends, church community and the community organizations where she volunteered.
She is survived by her children Paul (Patti), Brenda (Wayne), Joanne, and Brian (Lydia); grandchildren Malachy, Bobbie (Scott), Kevin (Morgan), and Shane; great-grandchildren Holly and Briella; siblings George (Nadine), and Evelyn; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
