At age 94, Ella Linke passed away on Mother's Day following a stroke in April.
Mom's work ethic and courage shone throughout her life following my parents' escape from East Germany in 1955. She and Dad were--throughout their lives-- so happy to have selected Canada as home.
Survived by daughter Barbara (Dennis) Mitchell, and the lights of her life, granddaughter Dara (Todd) Roberts, and great grandson Theron Bryce Roberts. We take solace in knowing that she is now reunited with my Dad, Karl, who passed away in 2005.
Mom thrived under the care of the staff at Coldstream Meadows for the year she was a resident, and we're grateful that she was safe and comfortable there. Thank you Hospice House for your kindness, and Chaplain Grace Wulff for visiting Mom.
Mom requested cremation and no service.
