It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Elli died peacefully in her sleep on July 2nd, 2020 with family, and knowing that she was loved.
She was born in Reipzig, Germany on October 11th, 1925 to Richard Friederich and Alma Emma Pollack (nee Purps). On her 22nd birthday in 1947 she married Jacob Mann in Scheessel, Germany. They had 2 sons, Horst in 1948 and Werner in 1950. In 1954 they immigrated to Canada and travelled to their destination in Oliver B.C. where they had their 3rd son Helmuth in 1955. In 1957 they settled on the farm in Vernon where they had their 4th son Harold in 1962.
Elli was hard working and dedicated, strong and devoted, kind and generous, an inspiration and very supportive of her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Alma, husband Jacob, sons Horst and Helmuth, brother Guinter and sister Valeska Binder.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Werner (Lorry), Harold (Bonnie) daughter-in-law Patricia, Grandchildren Richard, Kendra (Mike), Jeremy, Erika (Mark), Tina (Matt), Katie (Tim), Deven, Travis (Chelsey), Bradley (Amy), Nicholas (Shay), 8 great-grandchildren Caitlin, Coralyn, Ryleigh, Lincoln, Nixon, McKinley, Addison and Evelynn and one more on the way. Also her sister Trautchen Rehbein and sister in law Ida (Willie) Duden in Germany and sister-in-law Lucy Mann in Vernon and extended family both in Canada and Germany.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private service at a later date.
