December 16, 1926 - October 25, 2018
In Loving Memory of Elwin Lainchbury who was born on December 16, 1926 in Lakesend, Alberta to Alfred and Frances.

Elwin passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 25, 2018 with his friends by his side. This was his wish.

Predeceased by Ellen, the love of his love, and his sidekick Keeta.

He was an inventor, welder, fisherman, hunter, and mink rancher. If you wanted it built, he would build it, whether it was a boat, a quad or a special tool, he would craft it. Among his many occupations and hobbies, he even ran a sawmill.

Most importantly he was a great friend to all. Elwin made friends wherever he went in Canada and afar and he will be fondly remembered by all especially his coffee pal's at Ida's.

He had a good sense of humour, amazing love for life, enjoyed spending time with friends and family and he loved the ocean and nature.

A Celebration of Elwin's life will be held at Lumby's OAP Hall on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Elwin may do so to the KGH Foundation, Vernon Dialysis unit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, Phone: 250-542-4333.
