Emma Frieda Froh
was born on October 18th, 1910 in Lehr, North Dakota and fell asleep in Jesus on November 28th, 2008 in Hospice House having reached the age of 98 years.
Emma will be lovingly remembered by her children, Margaret (Sam) Prystupa, Rita (William) Gudwer, Edwin (Doreen) Froh and William Froh, all of Lumby, B.C.; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert (Ida) Wittich of Westbank, B.C.; one sister, Ida Young of Calgary, Alberta; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Froh; one infant son, Edward; one grandson, Rocky Vaneck; two brothers, Herbert Wittich and Arthur Wittich; and two sisters, Annie Bulger and Elizabeth Tucker.
Emma immigrated with her family from North Dakota to Saskatchewan in 1913. In 1926 she came to Kelowna, B.C. and on November 20th, 1934 she married Edward Froh.
A private family Graveside Service will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A Celebration Of Emma’s Life will follow at the Pleasant Valley Church Of God, 6161 Pleasant Valley Road, on Friday, December 5th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Bunn officiating.
