Ernest “Ernie” Joseph Borle

1953 – 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie on October 7, 2013 in Enderby, BC, born January 24, 1953 in Edmonton, AB.

Ernie was employed with the Canadian National Railway for 35 years and worked as a locomotive engineer. He loved camping snowshoeing, and travelling. His favorite place to be was home enjoying the Enderby scenery from the patio. He devoted his volunteer service to the Enderby Lions Club.

Ernie is survived by his wife Carol Berndsen; his children: Heather Borle (Chris), Michael (Kristin) Borle; step-children: Lorna Berndsen and Aaron (Cindy) Berndsen; grandchildren: Kennedy and Caleb Borle, and Elijah Tam; and siblings: Allen Borle, Victor Borle, David (Kathy) Borle, Paul Borle and Doreen Osborne (Rob).

Ernie is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Bernice Borle and his sister-in-law Peggy Borle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 at Alternatives Funeral Chapel Services, located at 2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, B.C.
