We regret to announce the passing of Ernie Ahl on March 20, 2010 at Vernon, B.C., at the age of 79 years. Ernie has lived in Vernon for the past 35 years where he was self employed as a cabinet maker. Ernie was a dedicated family man, who enjoyed hiking, was an avid skier and loved his music, especially playing the accordion and drums.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Eva, two daughters, Monica Drover (Kevin), Coquitlam, Corinne (Michael) McWhinney of Vernon, and son Randall (Heather) Ahl, of Calgary. Seven grandchildren, Donald, Kenda, Kevin, Aaron, Andrew, Braden and Aidan, one great grandson, Odin. One sister, Hilda (Klemens) Quast and brother, Fritz (Margot) Ahl, all of Germany. As well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
