1924-2020 ~ School marm, single Mom, best bank clerk, boarding house proprietor, long time dedicated meals on wheels volunteer, not afraid to work. Found no pleasure in birds, cell phone users, dishonesty or lack of effort. Found great pleasure in the accomplishments of her grandchildren, black cats, crossword puzzles, Jim Reeves, Jeopardy, Hour of Power, good management and the Golden Rule.
Family and friends are greatly saddened by losing her, but comforted in celebrating her long life, strong independent spirit and resilience. The girl from Hartney, Manitoba peacefully passed on May 14, 2020 in Kelowna, B.C. at Kelowna General Hospital.
