Eunice Marie Coxon (nee McDonagh) was born to Winfield pioneer couple, Verner and Harriet McDonagh (nee Lidstone) on July 29th, 1925.

In her youth Eunice worked on her parents orchard, in the family service station, and as a packer at the Fruit Union. She was a ticket clerk at the brand new Greyhound Bus Depot in Vernon and it was here that she met the great love of her life, Bill Coxon. Eunice and Bill were married on her sister Marjorie’s lawn overlooking Kalamalka Lake in August 1953. They became wonderful parents to their four children: Keith, Kathryn, Brian and Gary.

The family lived in the Cariboo at Loon Lake for many years and then Bill and Eunice moved to Armstrong in 1991. Bill passed away only two years after moving there. For the past 25 years Eunice was known in Armstrong as a happy, loving, kind lady who had a vibrant relationship with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She died peacefully on July 15th, 2016 in the Pleasant Valley Manor, just two weeks before her 91st birthday.

Eunice will be missed by her brother, her children and their spouses, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

A Celebration Of Eunice’s Life will be held at the Armstrong Bible Chapel, 2145 Rosedale Avenue, Armstrong, B.C., on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at 2:30 P.M.
