Evelyn Mary Van Den Ham

My name is Evelyn Mary Van Den Ham. I was born October 13, 1926 in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. I was married to Harry Rutledge and later to Alex Wasmuth. My life took me from Prince Albert to Saskatoon, Rivers Manitoba, Vancouver and to this beautiful town and valley called Vernon. The greatest joys of my life were children, music and my Baptist Faith. I passed away to be beside my Father on February 10 2005.

I leave behind my sons Kirk, and Guy. My daughters Bonnie and Dawn, grandson Nathan, grand daughters Rachel, Kendra, Kristel and my sister Ellen. You all made me so proud and happy . I had so many close friends and extended family in my life and you know I loved you all. Forgive me if I list not all your names but you know who you are and how much happiness we brought each other

I and my family thank the friends and Staff at Gateby House for making my last years so wonderful and well cared for. You all looked after me so well. Thank you to Dr Steward and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Staff for allowing me to pass peacefully and with dignity as were my wishes.

A memorial Service will be held Sat., Feb. 19th at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Pastor Sean Wong officiating. My wishes are for cremation and for family and friends to be together to celebrate my life. Please support Children’s Hospital in memory of me.

I shall miss you all and will watch over you waiting for the day we are all together again.
