Evelyne Marie Harder (nee Garant)

Evelyne was born on December 15th, 1944 to Leo and Bernadette Garant in McLennan, Alberta and it is with sad hearts that we announce her passing on May 23rd, 2019 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, after a long battle with cancer.
The fourth of five children, Evelyne was predeceased by her sister, Germaine and brother, Leon. She spent most of her early life in the Peace River, Yukon and Cariboo areas. In her early thirties she settled in the lower mainland making Port Coquitlam her home. During the early nineties she resettled to Vernon where she became a successful business woman, running Vernon Downtown Drycleaners for many years.
Evelyne will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Gerry; sister, Yvonne; step-daughters, Lori and Janette; and son, Mel.
Cremation preceded a Celebration Of Evelyne's Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at 11:00 am with Deacon Paul Murphy officiating followed by a Reception in the Bethel Tea Room. At the conclusion of the Reception, Evelyne will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery close to her other family members.
