March 31, 1935 - November 25, 2018
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Faye Ione Lindenbach at the age of 83 years at Gateby Care Facility in Vernon, BC on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Faye was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 31, 1935 and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 12. In 1958 Faye moved to Alberta and met the love of her life, Art. Faye and Art married in Jasper on May 14, 1960 and moved to Kamloops in 1961 to start their family, and finally in 1965 they settled in Surrey. To be closer to their children, Faye and Art decided to move to Vernon in 2014. Faye will be lovingly remembered by her dedicated husband, Art to whom she was married for 58 years, two children, her son, Greg (wife Molly, children - Ian (wife Megan and son, Mason), Sarah (Dustin) & Chad (Nicole), and her daughter, Charlene (children - Brandon and Josh), and her extended family, Darlene (Gord) and Wayne. Faye was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, and father, Albert. Faye was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to ensuring her family's happiness every day. Sewing, square dancing, round dancing and photography were her favorite past-times. Traveling with Art through Canada and United States were also at the top of her list. We are immensely grateful for the care provided by the 24-hour staff on the 2nd Floor of Gateby Care Facility who made Faye's almost 4 year stay wonderfully comfortable. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Faye's memory to the Parkinson Society British Columbia. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11 am at St. James Roman Catholic Church (2607 27th Street, Vernon, BC) with interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
