Fred Douma

Fred Douma of Vernon, BC passed away at the age of 96 on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. He leaves behind to mourn; his beloved wife, Fay, to whom he was married nearly 68 years; his four children: Harriet (Al), Wolter, Renee (Evert), and Ron; and 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Fred was a devout Christian, a dedicated church member, and the owner/operator of the Vernon Bakery for 20 plus years, where he was known for his delicious baked goods.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the caring and supportive staff at Gateby Long Term Care Facility.
Memorial service will be held at East Hills Community Church on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1 pm.
