FUSAYE HASHIMOTO

FUSAYE HASHIMOTO (nee KITAGAWA)

Fusaye Hashimoto was born on July 1st, 1923 at Steveston, B.C. and passed away on February 9th, 2007 in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 83 years, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons; Sakaye (Bronwen) Hashimoto of New Denver, B.C. and Yasuo Hashimoto of Vernon, B.C., five daughters; Judi (Herbert) Heise of Kelowna, B.C., Bev (Earl) Hoppe of Vernon, B.C., Linda Hashimoto (David Dean) of Vernon, B.C., Kay (Carl) Lindstein of Silverton, B.C. and Wendy (Chuck) Hellevang of Vernon, B.C., 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, four sisters; Nobuko Kurata of Kochi, Japan, Shizuye Higa of Honolulu, Hawaii, Harumi (Art) Westman of Maple Ridge, B.C. and Kimiye Kitagawa of Kobe, Japan, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her son, Hideo (Howard) on October 5th, 1950 and her husband, Takaichi Hashimoto on October 5th, 1998. Fusaye will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A private family Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 16th, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with cremation following. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in New Denver, B.C.
