June 19, 1956 - September 14, 2018
It is with great sadness after a brief but valiant struggle, our warrior Gary Choma (Sailor G) lost his battle to cancer on September 14, 2018 at the age of 62, at Hospice House in Vernon, BC.

He is survived by his loving life partner Brenda Murinko, sons Garett and Dustin, daughter Billieanne, sisters Florence (Gene), Lori (Randy) and brother Darcy (Jeanette) along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved their uncle G. Gary is predeceased by his parents, sister and nephew.

He was a dedicated employee of CN for 42 years. His last 5 years working in Vernon was the highlight of his career. He retired in 2017. He met many new friends and took advantage of everything the valley had to offer. Life in the Okanagan enabled Gary to do the things he loved; boating with family, camping, strumming the guitar by the campfire with his friends and driving the mustang with the top down on warm summer days. Gary was very talented, he could build anything, fix anything and was always the first guy to lend a hand. He was an amazing interior designer and a jack of all trades.

To celebrate his life, immediate family and close friends will gather to share memories and enjoy many of his favorite foods next summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family's on-line obituary @ www.MyAlternatives.ca
