George Husdup


Mr. George Husdup passed away peacefully in the Polson Extended Care Facility on Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his loving wife Rhea of sixty years, one daughter Linda (John Edgecombe) Moore of Coquitlam, BC, one son Murray Husdup of Victoria, BC, four grandchildren, Parker Moore of Coquitlam, Jesse and Cody Husdup of Victoria, Jennifer Husdup of Cranbrook, BC, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. George was a Veteran of the Second World War serving with the Kings Own Rifles of Saskatchewan. George was a Park Ranger at Fort Steele Heritage Park near Cranbrook for several years. George and Rhea were very active in Square Dancing for a number of years. He was very proud to have leaned to play the accordion after his retirement. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 27th, 2007 from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with The Very Reverend Father Steven Bassarab officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room. Those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of George may do so to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Endowment Foundation 2101 32nd, Street Vernon, BC V1T 5L2. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the PLEASANT VALLEY FUNERAL HOME 542-4333.
