George Kenneth Schneider passed away on January 3, 2003 in the Alexander Wing of Vernon Jubilee Hospital at 76 years of age. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; son Robert (Debbie) of Langley B.C., daughters, Vicki Schneider of Yorkton, Sask. and Karen Masson of Abbotsford, B.C.; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; 1 brother Edwin (Elsie) of Calgary, Alta.; 1 sister Violet Anderson of Richmond. George had a great sense of humour, which was enjoyed by everyone he knew. A retired watch and jewellery repairman, he enjoyed fishing while in Prince George and 6 years of wintering in Yuma, Arizona. He moved to Vernon in 1991 and enjoyed living by the creek and watching the ducks. George served his country in the Second World War with The Princess Pats. A Memorial Tea was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at the Eagles Hall, Vernon, B.C. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memory of George to a Charity of Choice.
