Married on June 3rd, 1950, they were both active in the theatre until children arrived. George became a salesman of small engine machinery, and after immigrating to Canada in 1957 he embarked on a career in real estate.
George started his real estate career with Rutherford, McRae selling residential real estate and then he moved to National Trust to become involved with commercial real estate. In 1973 George formed his own company called George Simpson and Associates Ltd. and was heavily involved in land assembly and development. George was able to fix anything mechanical, he would design and build any manner of structures, and he built many miles of fences ( with the assistance of family and friends. ) George was the family’s devil’s advocate, he always took the opposing side just to get a debate going. We will miss all the great hugs.
