Georgie Adelaide, aged 90 years, passed away peacefully in Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 21, 2004 with her family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband Borden in 1959 and great-grandson Curtis Schwarz in 1987. Born in Gerald, Saskatchewan in 1914. Georgie married Borden in 1936 in Spy Hill and they spent many years farming in Rocanville, Saskatchewan. They relocated to Surrey, B.C. in 1955. Georgie moved to Vernon in 1994 and lived 10 years at Kiwanis Village where she had her little flower garden which she loved and a lot of very good friends. She has lived at Gentle Waters for the last eighteen months. Georgie will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters Glenniss (Vern) Stephens of Langley, Lila (Chuck) Schwarz of Vernon, Betty Colvin of Lloydminister, son Charles (Gay) Dunsmore of Maple Ridge and a sister Sue Miscavish of Comox. Also there are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a very close friend Rose Doucette. Memorial Service to be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel at 2 P.M. on Thursday, November 25, 2004. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
