February 20, 2022
The White family sadly announces the sudden passing of their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on February 20, 2022. Gerald L. White was born in 1941 in Sudbury, Ontario. He worked in the mining industry from the age of 18 and loved to display his rock collection accumulated over the years. In 1963, Dad moved to BC where he met his wife, Doreen, and together they raised their beautiful family in Vancouver.
Gerry and Dorreen moved to Spallmucheen in 1993 and fell in love with the area. Dad enjoyed curling and loved his many dogs he accumulated over the years. He was a loving father and grandfather who always did his best for his family. Our father will always be remembered for his infectious smile and the twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes; his love of laughter and his sense of fun.
Dad is lovingly remembered and missed by his children Grant (Brandi) of Salmon Arm, Jerry Jr. (Tara) of Kamloops, John of Port Coquitlam, Richard of Chase, Ailene (Joe) of Gabriola Island, Robert of White Rock and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his loving wife Doreen and son Rod. The family would like to thank Sylvia, friends of Armstrong and the Legion.
Our hearts are broken with the loss and he will be missed every day. A private celebration will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
